Causes of Diabetes and Natural Remedies for Diabetes (compiled)

Following are the major diabetes symptoms:
1. Increased thirst
2. Frequent urination
3. Increase in appetite
4. Weight loss in type 1 diabetes

Causes of Diabetes

Following are the major diabetes causes:
1. Hereditary factors
2. Excess intake of carbohydrate foods like chocolates, rice etc
3. Insulin deficiency
4. Insulin resistance
5. High blood pressure
6. High cholesterol
7. Stressful and over burdened life
8. Lack of exercise or physical activities
9. Excess eating habits

Diabetes Complications
1. Hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis)
2. Heart problems
3. Eye problems
4. Blindness
5. kidney problems
6. Nerve problems

1) The best remedy for Diabetes is "bitter gourd" or "Bitter Melon" (Karela). Eat this vegetable at often as you can or drink a table spoon of "Bitter Gourd Juice"( by grinding it) daily to reduce sugar level in Blood and Urine.
or
Take 1 small Bitter Gourd, remove seeds and saturate it in a cup of water overnight. Drink this water in the morning on empty stomach.

2) Take 2 tsps of powdered "fenugreek seeds" with milk or 2 tsp of "Fenugreek seeds" swallowed, whole daily, at bed time or early morning. This is another common remedy.

Soak around 100 fenugreek seeds in 250ml of water. Leave it overnight.
Grind the mixture in the morning and sieve and drink the juice in empty stomach.
Drink this regularly for 2 months. Then check your Diabetes level.

Soak 1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds (Hilba) in 1 cup of water at night. Drink the water in the morning on an empty stomach and eat the seeds. Very good for diabetes because it works like insulin.

3) Eat 10 fresh fully grown "Curry Leave", every morning for 3 months.
This prevents Diabetes due to Heredity factor.
It also cures diabetes due to Obesity.

4) Drink 1litre Cinnamon water daily.
A 3 table spoon of cinnamon to 1 litre of Boiling water. Allow to simmer on low fire for 20 mins. Then strain the mixture. Drink this water through the day.

5) Leaves of Mango tree also are good to fight Diabetes.
Boil 6-8 mango leaves in one cup of water, saturate over night and filter in the morning. Drink every morning on an empty stomach.

Dry the leaves of mango tree and make its powder in a grinder. Mix one tablespoon of the dry powder of mango leaves in a glass of water and drink it everyday.


6) Soaked Almonds eaten in the morning (empty stomach) is also good.

7) Wash green plantain and peel it, put the peel in a jar, fill this jar with water.
Drink this water 3-4 times a day.

8) 45 mins to 1 hour walk daily keep Body fit and helps to reduce Diabetes.

9) Diabetes natural treatment: Eat 1 teaspoon of cinnamon daily.

10) Take 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar 3 times a day.

11) Eat garlic or take garlic capsules.

12) Drink 3-4 Litres of water daily. It flushes the system clean.

Following are some of the simple tips to prevent diabetes:

• Avoid eating starchy foodstuffs as they are not easily digestible.
• Take less amount of oil in your food.
• Avoid coffee, sugar, refined flour and alcohol.
• Do not take heavy meals. Eat small meals as the foods are easily digestible and are good for the health of diabetics.
• Take low fat diet and eat vegetables like spinach, cucumber.
• Eat fruits and milk products like cheese.
• Onion, sprouts, beans, garlic and tomatoes lower the sugar level in the blood.
• Live a stress free life. Stress will worsen the conditions.
• Restrict intake of mutton and excess salt in your meal. This will help in controlling your body weight and diabetes.
• It is advised to eat bitter herbs like bitter gourd and fenugreek. They are excellent bitter herbs for diabetic patients.
• There is no restriction on fish and soy for a diabetic patient.
• Do not eat junk food and oily food as this will control your level of cholesterol, lowers your blood pressure level, and diabetes.
• Avoid white bread, rice, potatoes, sweet and sugary foods.
